The World Fair Trade Organization (WFTO) officially launched the People and Planet Initiative, which aims to bring the environment into the fair trade picture by selling upcycled goods that would otherwise be destined for the landfill.

The latest move from the WFTO is the People and Planet Initiative. At its core, the initiative aims to embrace upcycled goods for the sake of the environment, all without sacrificing fair treatment of workers.
